It's a [shirt] show. They really need Irv's character, so 'killing his innie off' doesn't seem like a good move. But we'll surely be seeing more of his outie, who is already on the trail. The show runner actually lied about the Helly/outie situation. I'm just along for the ride, this show is mainly a silly parody of corporate pretensions, not much more
The observation about Kier's sarcastic take on the family origin story implies a great cynicism about the whole enterprise which she, above all other people in their world, would be in a position to be clear about. And yet, she's all in on the mass enslavement project - which makes her a dark character indeed, even to the extent of enslaving a part of herself. Square that circle.
