Yahoo would not allow me to send some of you auto-invites, so please PM me (or An Old Friend) if you need a link to join up. Also, please let one of us know if you will not be joining us.
So when do we get to argue over all the changes you aren't going to make?
There have already been changes to the roster makeup.

Regarding the categories, there is still time for debate.
I would still propose a simple substitution of OBP for AVG.
If we do that, I think I’d also want to replace OPS w/ SLG.

Or, as I’ve previously suggested, rate offensive categories could represent the traditional slash line - AVG/OBP/SLG. That would push us to 7 offensive categories.

AVG
OBP
SLG
R
RBI
HR
SB

I consider that an improvement, but the pitching cats would also need a revision to 7.

I would not add a 7th offensive category, as I doubt there is an equally justifiable pitching category to add.

But you could do just:

OBP
SLG
R
RBI
HR
SB

We could add net SV+HLD, but still include SV. This way, a save would be weighted more heavily than a Hold, as it should.

So -

Hitting
AVG
OBP
SLG
R
HR
RBI
SB

Pitching
W
QS
K
SV
SV+HLD-[nonsense]
ERA
WHIP

This is the best compromise I can conjur. If you insist on killing AVG, and consider no alternatives in which it stays, I don’t think this is going anywhere…

For pitchers, we could do OBP Against or K:BB ratio. I like the first better personally… rather than holds / blown saves

OBP-A seems redundant w/ WHIP.

We could also kill whip and have H/9 and BB/9 instead.

Reason I could be in favor of Net SV+H is that the addition of QS made the pitching more SP heavy. Adding SV+H-[nonsense] balances the scales a bit, and avoids the problem of equally valuing Saves & Holds.

You can reassign my spot if someone wants it. It is a good league and everything, just wasn't for me. Thanks for having me last year and good luck everyone!

Keeping it free this year

Be advised… this is a deep league -15 teams, 26-man rosters. It can be a little more time consuming than your default, 12-team Yahoo public or pay league.

I play a lot of formats. Usually 10 of each sport. Not more than I can handle
