2025 MLB Draft Room ~ Thread, Mocks, Discussion, Draft Boards

Post by craviduce »

With the kick off the 2025 College baseball season this Friday, we have few new mocks coming out. 1 today, which I'll link below.

This isn't my board, it's everyone's. I encourage everyone to link any mocks, draft board rankings, wish lists, scores/highlights....all opinions matter and are welcomed.

I think this board worked well last year? Hopefully, it'll work just as well this year. Feedback would be awesome as always!!

-----

INFO ~ Draft is 2 days this year, not 3....Draft takes place in Atlanta, July 13-14. First 3 rounds on day 1, 4-20 on day 2.

The Cards will have 4 picks on day 1, all in the Top 90. Exciting times, imo....we get a CBP again, and we didn't sign anyone with a QO attached to them, so we get our 2nd round pick 8) 8) 8) 8)

Here's a link to our pick numbers and rounds and how each team got these picks/order

old draft board from MLB.com from December...still a good form of reference, even though it's dated.

Top 30 college starting pitchers entering the season. This will certainly change, but it's a good source, I think, as a get to know the players type list....sorry for the word salad

Is it 5? Doh...I said 4. Thanks, 82. That's even better!!!

I'm so excited to have a 2nd round pick and a Competitive Balance pick again. Our draft pool allotment will be a lot.

I know very little about the High School Class of 2025, except that it is full of Shortstops, and is said to be much deeper than last year.

That being said, I think I've found a few to "try" to follow. Some schools have their athletic websites behind a pay window, others don't.

Xavier Neyens ~ 3B/OF, LHB, Mt Vernon, Washington ~ PNW, short baseball season, but has played plenty of fall and summer ball experience. Power bat, with a hit tool that may be equal to the power.

Seth Hernandez ~ RHP, Corona, California ~ 60-65/80 on BOTH his Fastball and Change-up....that will get you into almost every Top 10 Mock on its own.

Ethan Holliday ~ 3B/SS, LHB, Stillwater, OK ~ Better power than his brother, not quite the hit tool. Fielding and Arm grade about Avg to Slightly above.

Kruz Schoolcraft ~ LHP/1B, Sunset, OR ~ 60/80 on both FB and Slider.

then there are a slew of SS...so many, that I'll name later  I'll update stats if I can as the season goes along. Names would be Kayson Cunningham, Billy Carlson, Elli Willits, Sean Gamble, etc

it's good to see IU's Devin Taylor getting some Top 10 love. The kid can flat out hit. I'd hate for him to go to the Reds, though.

We get Tyler Bremner in this mock.

Cam Cannarella seems like he has that it factor. Played with a bum shoulder last year and still put up good production. Seems to always make a big play or get a big hit. The clutch gene is real and he has it.

As it's shaping up right now, the Cardinals, at #5, are in line for Bremmer, Hernandez or Cannarella.

Thanks for the specific, focused insight. It is really lacking usually in these draft threads filled by sheep and their cut-n-paste laziness.

He was pretty darn clutch last year in the Regionals/Super Regionals. Best CF, imo, in College
