In the upcoming season. Heck, I'd be happy if both Walker and Gorman produce like Burleson did last season. Especially, driving in runs. 78 RBIs from both Walker and Gorman would be very helpful to the team.

Walker’s rookie season two years ago 2023 had two categories where he outplayed Burleson 2024 stats.

Walker’s .276 BA was higher and his .787 OPS was also better.

How'd last season go for Walker? Don't get me wrong. I'm pulling for him to do really well.

I don't recall "most posters" writing that. What people posted was that a 104 OPS+, 41 XBH, and 78 RBI in 595 PA is not the amazing feat you believe it is. Especially for a guy who can't run or field. I have no idea how productive Gorman and Walker will be this season.

If you don't know about Walker and Gorman. What kind of season do you see Burly having? You don't seem to impressed with what Burleson did last season. Do you feel he'll do better, worse or about the same?

So how do you see it for Walker, Gorman and Burleson in '25?
I'm not playing your juvenile game since you are not serious about discussing baseball. You create thread after thread about Burleson, or hijack threads (including your own) to make it all about Burleson. Stop acting like an imbecile and quit drooling over a below average player. Act in good faith and people will be happy to talk baseball with you.

Burleson is a keeper to me. His natural ability to hit will only get better and he can hurt you in more ways that one, with the bat. His glove will continue to improve.

So you don't have the fortitude to even venture a guess as to how that "below average player" will do in '25? And you accuse me of not being serious about discussing baseball. "The proof is in the pudding".

I don’t know if they will out produce Burleson, but if they don’t this team is in big trouble for a long time to come. We need a lot more than a .735 OPS out of the guys that are supposed to be the Cardinals middle of the order hitters for the next several years.

Burleson is a heckuva lot better first baseman than many seem to feel. He'd be fine there if it don't work out for Contreras.

You continue to be a worthless contributor to baseball discussion.I know you don't have what it takes to venture a guess as to how you feel Burleson will do in '25.

Very poor to start.. when brought back in Sept.
Walker batted .253 and hit 5 HR in 29 games.
If he could homer at that pace in 2025, that would be 25+ HR type year.
Go Walker !

Joe Hague II simply isn't all that impressive. Who gets impressed by a 104 OPS+ unless said player fields like Ozzie or runs like Vince?

OK, let's see your offensive stats predictions for Burleson in '25. It seems you feel he should just be DFAed.
