Just a few months ago, a lot of people on here were absolutely berating anyone questioning him and saying he hasn't been given a chance and had this huge untapped potential. Now, for a conditional 5th, it's crickets?
I am all for getting something for an essentially worthless player but where did all those Scotty P fans go? Anyone want to apologize for some of the vile, disrespectful things said to some of us that dared to question his value? I assume not...
His "value" via stats was evident to all. It was his potential that a number of us continued to proclaim. I still have that opinion of him as well.
Not sure if you are referring to me but as a supporter I was never "vile or disrespectful" to anyone.
Differences in opinions is what I recall and there's no doubt it was his supporters who had the case to prove so maybe that irked some people who insisted otherwise.
If I'm wrong it won't be the first time it's not the end of the world and I will acknowledge that but I'll let his career, what's left of it, play out before doing so if that's ok with you.

Nope not you dh. We have disagreed on many things (including Peru) but I don't remember it ever being anything but generally respectful. But there was a thread back in November in particular where a few people got very offended by people giving a negative opinion on Perunovich.
Well, at least we no longer have to listen to all the (bleep) about him any more, unless he turns out to be good in NY. Then all the usual suspects will change their views on him and, as usual, blame DA for trading him.

I don't recall vile and disrespectful about anything around Perunovich. I think there was some frustration on why he wasn't playing, but that's normal stuff.
Usually the vile/disrespectfulness comes around trying to support a player and people go off on them for doing so. Or worse...management and prospects. But whatever.
Not really sure why the Blues didn't move on from him sooner. He was never going to be the player they wanted; holding on to him this long didn't help the team or the player. Hopefully he plays a lot for the Islanders and plays well.
I think a healthy Krug would have been a nice option on the 3rd pairing this year with who we have on D now. I'm also surprised at how good
Suter has been for his age and what he is. Defense is not the problem and it's been awhile since I felt that way.

There was only a few of us that were supporters of him, I don't remember anybody being vile about anything in regards to Scotty's playing time

I'd love to see him have success, but I'm not sure he's got the frame and speed to make an impact in the NHL.
Other players have left the Blues to have success, just like players have come here to have success.
What's interesting is the Isle just brought in DeAngelo for the league min $775k. Perunovich makes $1.15M. Say what you want about DeAngelo but i'd I'd rather have him than Perunovich. They must hate their D right now to bring in both.
