Scotty had his opportunity. Good on Doug for finding an opportunity for him.
Re: Perunovich for a 5th
That’s pretty low for a Hobey Baker winner.
But he’s about 5 feet tall too, so 5 for 5.
(Leddy must be coming back soon. )

Yeah it sounds like the Isles will be playing him.Pierre McGuire wrote: ↑27 Jan 2025 12:38 pm Scotty had his opportunity. Good on Doug for finding an opportunity for him.
If not before ....should be crystal clear now he needs to shoot the puck every good chance he gets.

Re: Perunovich for a 5th
Yeah, the condition is important. Probably something like 5th rounder if he plays X number of games for the Isles this season, 6th rounder if he doesn’t. Something like that. But who knows. I’m sure the condition will come out eventually.
As for Scotty, good luck to him on the Island. Has NHL offensive skill but lacking in defensive ability and size. I don’t pay a ton of attention to the Isles so don’t really know their needs or D depth but hopefully he can get into the lineup more there.
Return seems around right. He was our 7th d-man, Monty wasn’t playing him much and maybe this is an indication Leddy is set to return soon.

Welp. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Re: Perunovich for a 5th
There just isn't room for him. He was given a chance. His progress suffered from his injuries. Hope he finds his niche and progresses to a nice career.

Good luck to him.
Re: Perunovich for a 5th
Just a few months ago, a lot of people on here were absolutely berating anyone questioning him and saying he hasn't been given a chance and had this huge untapped potential. Now, for a conditional 5th, it's crickets?
I am all for getting something for an essentially worthless player but where did all those Scotty P fans go? Anyone want to apologize for some of the vile, disrespectful things said to some of us that dared to question his value? I assume not...

Now how bout Faulk for a couple used practice pucks
Re: Perunovich for a 5th
Wish him the best. Had offensive talent, just too small to be useful on defense.
Re: Perunovich for a 5th
too little too late. Should have happened years ago, for more.
Re: Perunovich for a 5th
Does this mean Leddy is back?

Re: Perunovich for a 5th
It was the merciful thing to do. Obviously, the Blues had no use for him. I don't think Leddy is close. Could be wrong. I think they will bring up Kessell, Loof or use Tucker more.
