Shrinking - AppleTV

I finally finished season 2 and really liked it. I think this is one of the better shows on TV IMO. The acting is so well done, with everyone knowing their roles and playing them perfectly. Of course I will watch anything with Harrison Ford, who steals every scene he is in to no surprise, but everyone does such a great job. Ted McGinley represents the Alpha Beta's very well with a supporting role in which he shines in as Derek.

If you haven't checked it out yet, I recommend it IF you are a fan of Ted Lasso (same writers/producers) and like semi-believable shows that do address some serious topics, but also leaves you smiling. Enjoy!

Yes this is one of the better shows on TV for sure, and along with Severance and Pachinko a great reason to splurge on AppleTV for a month or two.

It's the best Harrison Ford performance in decades, and one of the most unique of his career. Jason Segal, or at least his character, got a little tiresome in S2. But the rest of the characters are great (even if the actress from Drew Carey Show is now uncomfortably unrecognizable due to surgery and an apparent eating disorder).

Jessica Williams is imo.co-MVP with Ford and McGinley. McGinley steals absolutely every scene he's in, and apparently he was promoted from guest appearances to series regular after S1.

Wikipedia says this was originally pitched as 3 seasons but imo the S2 finale would be a pretty perfect series ending.

It is a great show, and Harrison Ford is supremely entertaining on it.

My only minor gripe is that the dialogue bugs me sometimes. Just the way they interact with each other, the sexual ribbing, etc, doesn’t seem believable to me, at least to be happening that much in a friend group. It was fun at first, but got a little overplayed by the end of S2.

Yeah, it's a little much. Would be one thing if just 2-3 characters did this, but it's every single one. Which tells you it's really just the writers having an imaginary conversation with themselves.

Jefferson is great in everything I’ve ever seen him. But this may be his best.
