Re: Prime Rib
If I were still in StL and jonesing prime rib, I'd head to Kreis' Steak House on S. Lindbergh. Comes in 12, 32 or 64 ounce sizes, $48, $84, $146 respectively.

Kreis', hands down. We were there two weeks ago. I had the 32OZ, bone-in Prime Rib. It's the best. I've had Prime Rib at other restaurants, but Kreis' is beyond compare. I order it very rare.
Re: Prime Rib
I try to order the end cut, it is cooked a little more than rare, < i don't like my meat mooing at me> and it is normally a little bit bigger cut.
Re: Prime Rib
Does the main restaurant at The Cheshire Inn still feature prime rib? I haven't been there in over twenty years, but I know that I sure did like it.

Went to Kreis' this past Sunday. Amazing! The Prime Rib, the service, the ambiance, etc. were all 1st class! Thanks for the suggestion.

Basso (https://www.basso-stl.com/) is really the only restaurant on the grounds of the Cheshire Inn and they're Italian-focused with no prime rib. Fox and Hounds pub inside the hotel offers a small plates menu, no prime rib.
