It's Burger Barn all over again,

We need a couple In and Outs.....and some healthy options at fast food in this town.
O, and a Del Taco.

In and Out, like Whataburger, is very average in my opinion. I'd take Freddie's and Culvers over either of them.

As for Del Taco, I'd love for them to re-open in St. Louis. Loved Del Taco as a teenager!

I highly recommend the burgers at the MOOBILE Pop-Up Eatery at West County Center in Des Peres. They serve only Local Pasture-Raised Beef with No Added Hormones and No Unnecessary Antibiotics. They also serve delicious Tallow Fries and House-Made Chili. They will be at West County Center until Dec. 21st. In mid to late Jan. 2025 they will be opening a restaurant at the old Kohn's Deli building at 10405 Old Olive Street Rd in Creve Coeur.

I second both of your comments, except that I was well past being a teenager when Del Taco was here.

MOOBILE Pop-Up Eatery at West County Center food court will be open until 12-22-24. The owner announced on a different St. Louis Foodie website that MOOBILE had their biggest day at the mall so far on a rainy Saturday (12-14). Their beef is raised on the owners farm in Lonedell, Mo.

I'm pretty close in age to SRV1990, and we are both from the same part of town, breathe the same Dragon fire, so I can tell you that when Jack In The Box opened on Grand and Flad, that was my first exposure to that thing they called a "taco". A few years later, I was living in Nebraska and a place across from my apartments was a little joint called Taco Bell. Remembering the cheesy, greasy JITB tacos, I went and had a bit of a surprise. Their tacos were crunchy and broke apart in your hands!

Spot on, 141! For me and my friends, the JITB on S. Kingshighway and Chippewa was one of our first taco experiences. Followed closely by Del Taco, which was on our way back to the Hill from the Esquire Theater. We got a ride there, but made the long walk back because... well, ya know!

Whateburger used to be great but has been going downhill for some time, even before they sold the company. In & Out came to my area about 10 years ago to great fanfare. Police were assigned to direct traffic off the road into their drive through, a situation that lasted for months. Overrated. Freddies and Culvers are much better fast food burgers. I'll add that I have a guilty pleasure for Burger Street.

There is a lot of new development around my home, and I just passed a new sign today that said a Smalls Sliders is coming soon. I'd never hear of them until now. I think they originated in Louisiana.

Finally, as to Del Taco.... I used to love White Castle as a teenager, but now I wouldn't touch them with a 10-foot pole. That's the way I feel about Del Taco. The one near me closed a few years go and is now a Valerie's Taco Shop, a small local chain with delicious greasy tacos.

While I agree on Whitey's sliders, fries, chicken, etc...

The Whitey Breakfast slider is the best fast food breakfast sandwich going. They actually crack a real f'n egg on the griddle for each slider!
