Interesting interview, and for those unfamiliar with Segovia, here is a couple of minutes with Andres Segovia.

Was privileged to hear Segovia in STL live before he passed. Funny thing, someone came in late, or after he started playing - Segovia just stopped playing and waited for the guy to sit down before he resumed.

Skunk is, has been, a :

luthier, effects engineer, plays guitar, keys, bass, drums & pedal steel - i.e. pretty much every g.d. thing in sight he plays.

It was interesting him sharing that his improvisational foundation was via sax books - I can sort of see that - certainly, he comes/came at his solos with a very unique, usually tonally-layered approach, kind of like what you hear in bop, with the sax and trumpet playing close intervals, attacking counter-point to the main beat. He's just special.

Rick has a long interview with Rick Wakeman going through his entire life. While known as a prog master from Strawbs and Yes, he was also in high demand as a session keyboardist. He played the very distinct opening piano solo for Cat Stevens' "Morning Has Broken", among others.

Overall, I liked Beato's interview with him. Baxter lost me when he attempted to claim that the Doobie's album -"Living on the Fault Line" was one of their best. That album is horrendous.
