I know many aren't fans but Bernie is the best sports journalist in this city and he doesn't waste air time w/a bunch of a z z grabbing like the Balloon Show does.
He does great Cardinals segments, Blues and Football.
Hopefully 101.1 hires him back after McK and Company flop (which is going to happen).
Berine is not a "sports journalist". He does no reporting. No tracking down of any stories, and has no insight whatsoever on the inner workings of the club. He's an commentator. End of story.
He's a "content creator".
Bernie has more sources throughout the sports world than any journalist in St. Louis and he reports on multiple stories.

It's being replaced with McKernan, Vaugh, and Kilcoyne.
I despise that show.
I don't think Kilcoyne was on that show for teenagers. Kilcoyne is entertaining.
I can't see it being any different.
When McKernan originally started the balloon party he kept the idiot followers away, then slowly brought them in until the show was no longer any different than TMA.
Why would this one?
I don’t think the plan is for the show to be any different than it is now. It will be TMA, with Kilcoyne, whose radio personae is far from straight laced
Yeah, I won't be listening to 101 for at least 4 hours a day then. I'll have to find other things to listen to during my drive between 7-8

Agree with you. They are C-list guys who constantly make failed attempts to be humorous but in reality are nothing but day-old beer.
If all you have is day old beer you might just drink it
I won't be tuning in unless I happen to be the vehicle. I didn't care for the yoho show but this one couldn't be any worse ??

I think he's great, but his new revenue stream is content creation.
I basically quit listening to sports talk radio nearly 15 years ago. It used to be all I listened to, but I just got sick of it. I’ll listen in every now and again when a big local sports moment happens around here to check opinions, but even then it doesn’t stay on long. I like the weekly podcast Bernie does, and when Goold puts out his every now and then I’ll listen. There’s some prospect guys I like on YouTube and Bernie does a show there too. But I like the once a week at most listen. It’s just too hot takey anymore and the shows I listen to I think try and limit that.
But I digress. I always liked Randy K. He seemed to be passionate about the city and I appreciate that from him. I’m sure he’ll pop up somewhere soon.
Growing up in St. Louis in the '60s I listened every weeknight and every weekend morning to KMOX Radio for Globe-[political party] Sports Editor Bob Burnes hosting "Sports Open Line" and "Sports On a Sunday Morning", with KMOX's sports PBP highlights of the week's games. Burnes was a sports encyclopedia.

His "sources" dried up years ago when he left the industry. Rocko is just doing one of his famous fan boy rants. There's nothing wrong with what Bernie is doing today. But he's not a sports journalist, and hasn't been one for a number of years.
