Great induction tonight for Ozzy, not sure why it took so long.
He didn’t perform but gave a heartfelt to-the-point speech followed by an epic tribute set from:
Maynard James Keenan, Wolfgang Van Halen - Crazy Train
Jelly Roll, Zakk Wylde - Momma I’m Coming Home
Billy Idol, Zakk Wylde - No More Tears
Robert Trujillo, Chad Smith played on all of them

Re: Ozzy: Rock & Roll HOF
He didn't look good, which I guess is to be expected. I was kind of annoyed with the shots Jack Black (who I like) standing next to him and staring at him while he gave his speech. Seemed weird. Not sure what Jelly Roll was doing there either, but whatever. I figure if they want someone younger to be there to sing maybe they could have brought in someone from a metal or rock band to do so. I thought the Billy Idol thing was weird as well, but maybe they have a connection I don't know about. I liked Chad Smith's old school looking drum set. And I always love seeing Rob Trujillo.

Yes, and Black getting down on one knee like he wanted to propose to Ozzy was also weird.Ronnie Dobbs wrote: ↑24 Oct 2024 10:20 am He didn't look good, which I guess is to be expected. I love Maynard, and he did pretty well. He stated he was really nervous, and it came off that way. I wonder what Undertow-era Maynard would have sounded like. Imagine him belting that out with the slight growl he used to have in his screams.
Zakk Wylde is unreal, he shredded as usual.

Jelly Roll sucks. Had no business anywhere in that building.
