Here

Coming in November, "Here" reunites Robert Zemeckis, Tom Hanks and Robin Wright. The movie tells the stories of all the people inhabiting a single place over more than 100 years. There's one camera, for the whole film. It uses an AI program called Metaphysic Live, which is used to "de-age" and "face swap" the performers. Hanks and Wright portray a couple whose lives are seen from the 1960's to the 1980's. I admired Forrest Gump and I'm anxious to see what Zemeckis has up his sleeve for this one. Also on the project is Gump cinematographer Don Burgess and composer Alan Silvestri.

JMHO, but this looks like a $200 mil. Hallmark card, postmarked "Uncanny Valley."

I hope we can at least agree that Zemeckis has a great track record of his widescale and not-at-all-creepy application of CGI characters, across such definitely-not-distracting classics like "Beowulf" and "Polar Express".

It actually looks nauseating. Can’t imagine a more treakly combo than those two.

By "those two," do you mean Robert Zemeckis and Tom Hanks, or Robert Zemekis and Robin Wright?

The three of them. Just realized, Zemeckis did Contact, one of the treakliest SF attempts of all time.
