Knew it was coming but still not ready. What a great voice, actor and person.

Tremendous career. His first film role was one of my favorites as Lt Lothar Zogg in Dr. Strangelove. "Negative function, sir."

And who else could have played Darth Vader?

Sad day.

I was just thinking about him at random just the other day. I’m not a star-struck kind of person, nor do I have a need to meet celebrities, but James Earl Jones is one of those people I believe would have been wonderful to meet.

One of my favorite movies as a kid was Sneakers and Jones completely stole the last scene... and also made me forever disappointed in how little gravitas the actual heads of major federal intelligence agencies always seem to have in real life.

All his line deliveries are so on point.... "Fine... Ta-Hee-Tee"
