At Cardinals home games I used to always see Ted and Dottie in the 2nd row behind home plate. When I waited tables at Favazza's a thousand years ago they were regulars, and always very kind.

Reporters used to ask him why he wouldn't expand or franchise, and he always said he wanted to be there personally to assure the daily quality.

They really were good, guys.
