The "Godfather of the British Blues" has passed at the age of 90. John Mayall and his band the Bluesbreakers in the 60's featured such great talents as Eric Clapton, Peter Green, Mick Taylor, Jack Bruce, and John McVie. Mayall played guitar, piano, harmonica, and sang in a high, haunting voice. One of my favorite Mayall songs:
Top of the Hill

Mayall - guitar, piano, lead vocal
Peter Green - lead guitar, vocal
John McVie -bass
Aynsley Dunbar - drums, percussion
RIP John Mayall

Just read that he's going to be inducted into the Rock -n- Roll Hall of Fame in October.
