Anyway I didn't mean to be a downer. I'll still keep doing my thing. Was just thinking next year if someone else wants in and would be a better fit, I might bow out. But we'll see!

sdaltons wrote: 20 Jun 2024 21:01 pmI'm just getting the feeling that my approach doesn't really fit well lol. Maybe it feels a little more competitive and less relaxed than I was thinking. But it's really all on me for not having the time to make a commitment.

And I don't take trading someone like Albies lightly. So I'll read the offer, think about it for awhile, decide I'm on board, then come back and it's gone. Idk just kind of discouraging.
Well… now I’ve made three more offers :D

The last time you responded to anything, I had the impression that you weren’t interested in trading Albies. Another opportunity arose with Lindor, so I went a different direction.

There’s bragging rights at stake!

If my ratio of wins to quality starts weren’t so putrid, I’d be running away.

Take a moment to consider the combined stache power of Westburg & Burger. No can defense.

I'll look at the offers for Albies I have and/or will receive tomorrow. I'm not ignoring anyone! A couple of you have made reference to sending me offers without knowing what I'm looking for in return. So here's the truth: I don't know, either.

I don't have a good enough handle on how the stats work and what I could do to improve my ranking. This is the main reason I have been reluctant to trade Ozzie, or really anyone. Don't want to realize later that I made a stupid deal.

So if anyone wants to plead your case as to how the deal will help you and also help me, I'm all ears.

New error when I tried to send sdaltons a trade proposal for Albies:

sdaltons has the max pending trades allowed. (Error #183)

QV is apparently trying to control the trade market by flooding it and not allowing anyone else to get their offers on the table.

You’ve discovered my evil plan.

I could cancel one, but that has recently brought on feelings of discouragement.

Alright… I’m canceling one offer that was essentially the same as another, minus one player. Should be room for you now.

Man, this season has really sucked for me. I’ve never seen so many high drafted players on any team I’ve had before perform so poorly.

I’m not anti-trade, but I’m not really looking to do trades where I’m either giving up the best (or highest ranked) player in the deal, or two for ones where I’m taking on players that don’t have a proven track record for an underperforming star.

I’ll just keep losing.

Hey all, I’m currently shopping Bo Naylor- catcher Cleveland Guardians. Season ranking 1066. I’ll be waiting for offers. Now, don’t offer anything dumb.

Wow, sdaltons needs to hope that Jared Jones isn't as bad as he has been for the last month (5.85 ERA, 1.60 WHIP) because there isn't much else in that Albies trade for him.

Including the drops, FP has sdaltons getting 29 VORP (Jones, Kim, Paxton, MacArthur) and losing 37 VORP (Albies, Pivetta, Sears, Florio).

Weren’t you in 13th place a few weeks ago? Maybe you should be reevaluating how you consider your own players (and trade offers) with the imaginary VORP system.

He’s getting a closer - one you touted as having more job security than Kirby Yates.

He’s getting Jones AND Paxton, who has a secure spot in the Dodgers rotation.

He’s getting Ha-Seong Kim, who you laughably tried to ROB from me for Gurriel… and currently ranks higher than half your (bleep) roster.

Any more sour grapes you’d like to spread around, Matt?
