Hah… just realized we both made essentially the same move to “replace” Acuña - JJ Bleday. Some replacement for our #1 overall pick, eh? FWIW - he actually has twice as many HRs, more RBI and a higher OPS than Acuña. Oh but it still hurts
As previously noted, my only real strategy was to hope/expect Acuna to right himself and be Acuna again at some point this season. And he was starting to turn it around, I think an .850 OPS for the prior seven days, right before he goes out for the season.

So it goes.
Hope is not a strategy, and quitting is against the rules!
Like I said earlier, your beloved Fantasy Pros still projects you #2 in the power rankings… so it seems like you might still have a decent roster.
You’re a little low on high ceiling players - but you don’t necessarily need that to succeed in fantasy. Sounds like you aren’t in the mood for advice, but it could make sense to consider dealing Henderson to upgrade multiple roster spots in the process.

I'll listen to offers, but I'm not actively seeking trades at this point.

Gentlemen,
Been having issues attempting to respond/discuss to a recent trade offer. Declined without any comment as a result. But don't want any to think I have not given full consideration to any of them.
So a little color.
I have received several offers from no less than a few fellow owners. Most barking up the same tree.
I like it. I would love to also be in a position to snag a projected first rounder for pennies on the dollar. Not every offer has been pennies. Some have included slugs.
A crapshoot that has very little incentive to me at this stage. I need the dude to bounce back big or flip him for a few players with definable floors that net net may actually help me. Can't afford to speculate on any Johnny Come Lately's or dudes coming off a good week with little actual track record.
Much prefer to deal from a position of strength to fill a weakness. And like deals in which both owners are coming at it from that same perspective. Unfortunately I do not have any strengths at the moment. And not ready to punt one way the other quite yet.
What is the Price for a guy that you hope rebounds and gives you a seasons worth of stats in the next 110 games or whatever it is that is left in the season?
Essentially that is what you believe and hope to be acquiring. As cheaply as possible.
I will go down with that Ship.
The Price:
A Closer, Starter, or 2 Closers.
Need a bat in return. Ideally provides some SB, Runs, Avg, OBP.
But I will continue to give serious consideration to any and all offers on any of my players.
Here’s a thought to consider, as your 13th place team wallows in abject hopelessness.
You’ll probably need to initiate some offers yourself to have any hope of climbing out of the cellar.
Nobody’s reading through your esoteric nonsense to try and unlock the mysteries of your trade desires.
Underperforming players on failing teams lose their shine, particularly in the hands of fumbling managers with communication problems.
I spaced this out, bearing the futile hope you might read it slowly and carefully.
AOF - I'm still prepared to sell you save opportunities, but am activity shopping my saves elsewhere as well.
If you want to address your saves deficiencies, now is the time.
MacArthur + an OF from my roster for your least valuable player (whoever you decide that is) + some other asset from your roster that makes the deal make sense
Don't fail to win the league because you punted saves.

Are you holding Hader?
Doesn’t sound to me like the deal you’re proposing ‘makes sense’. Not if your sole intention is assuring that someone else wins the league, rather than actually improving your own team. Some might call that collusion.

Oh no, the "some other asset from [AOF's] roster that makes the deal make sense" is going to have to be an upgrade that helps me a lot. Basically a one (AOF's major asset) for two (MacArthur + OF) where I need to be getting the best player in the deal.
I'm just selling this "win-win" deal that will help both of us.
And, yep, MacArthur with a save today.
And, yes, my intention is to hold Hader and Fairbanks, to keep my saves afloat.
If you want to make me an offer for MacArthur, I'd listen as well, but as you (26 SVs) are closer to me (28 SVs) than AOF (10 SVs) is, I would be more inclined to want to send him to AOF.

I'm only interested in Hader or Fairbanks. I appreciate the offer, but I think McArthur is a bum and not long for the role. JMHO

Maybe, but he is in the Top 15 in saves with 11. And KC doesn't have a lot of great options to unseat him either.
Sometimes you can't get what you want, but you can get what you need.

I already have plenty of [shirt]ty closers, and I’m not looking to trade anything of value for more.

Thought you didn’t believe in “win-win” trades
I believe there are "win-win" trades.
I just don't think you are making 1000 of them a season.

If one is good at negotiating trades (which you clearly are not), the overall quality of a roster will improve with quantity - the wins stack up

If you’re actually willing to negotiate a reasonable trade, I could offer Westburg+ for one of your top starters (Valdez, Peralta, Berrios). Your Fantasy Pros toy is unlikely to value Westburg correctly, so this may go nowhere…

Westburg would have been more interesting before he went 2-for-21 for his last five games.

Your roster, perhaps, but not both rosters involved (not a consistent list of "win-win" trades).
FWIW - your Yates/Martinez for Cortes/Greene trade is, of course, great for you and pretty bad for AOF. He's paying a huge premium there to go try to buy saves.
