The early, and utterly meaningless standings are in!

1 - Ball is Life 146.5
2 - DJ Davis - 145.5
3 - sdaltons 135.5
4 - ggnoobs 108.5
5 - Dazepster 106
6 - Cool Papa Con 100
7 - Cardinals4Life 96.5
8 - Quincy Varnish 94.5
9 - imadamnman 91.5
10 - An Old Friend 87.5
10 - MattMitchell44 87.5
10 - Booooyah 87.5
13 - SamTheMan 51
13 - Barking Lion - 51
13 - Whatashame - 51

Sadly for Jeffy25, there is a 100 point penalty for failure to adhere to league rules, moving the inappropriately named ‘Ball Is Life’ to 15th with 46.5 points in the adjusted standings.

Congratulations to our league leader, DJ Davis!

I'd probably take some deal involving Justin Turner, but can't decide how many other pieces are involved.
Turner plus for Garcia… this is still funny

Meh… I’d rather take care of some obvious weaknesses before the season starts. A couple weeks of play isn’t going to shine much light on anything, and will only allow those weaknesses to fester.

Hell yeah. May be the last time though.

I’m assuming the name thing for Jeffy is a joke? But why doesn’t he use his screen name like the rest of us?
Yes, it’s a joke. I don’t know why he’s doing it… sent him a couple of messages, and it was requested in his invite. I think he’s just not getting the memo 😂

You’re now tied for 5th with CPC. You can view the updated standings via Stattracker… view it via web browser, not the mobile app.

Still interested in Bogaerts, but may need to explain it 18 more times before it’s understood.

Hope you can get LeMahieu back in your lineup ASAP

DJ simply a bit of a Crapshoot. Very well may be on his way out. Yet, things break right for the Yanks and he may provide value simply by being an innocent bystander. Lame at the moment though.

Bogaerts, Swanson,Altuve,Semian, DJ, TommyBoy give me a lot of flexibility in playing match ups, the hot hands, or providing injury cover when necessary with a determinable floor.

Expect to be starter challenged hence may need to deal one or more at some point. That point is not now.

Need the Big League GM's to get with my program and IL the IL candidates so I can get back to prospecting without having to cut a Faberge egg.
Yep, I have the same problem… more so on another team, which has 3 players bound for the IL. I wish Yahoo could use some common sense and move the obvious guys to the IL already, but they do also run games that involve real money - judgement calls aren’t really an option.

LeMahieu has been useless in fantasy for three years…

May I interest you in Yamamoto???

1). My draft was probably even worse than I thought it was.
2). IL is incredibly busy early this season.
3). There is nothing available in fantasy free agency/waivers.
4). I drafted Saggese, thought he would be on the roster with his hot spring. Let Scott sldie because I was pretty sure he wouldn't be there. ((slap forehead))
5). This could be a really long season.
I wouldn’t form any opinions of a team based on only one day of performance. The standings aren’t going to look anything like this at season’s end… probably not by next week.

How many of them had him getting demoted in the first week? He only got two starts… went 2/4 his last, and the next day sent to AAA.

Yep… MRI today. Great time to have traded away Hicks.

I should be just fine, though - all I need to do is pick up some useless bums and have them pitch like prime Koufax, like you.

Losing your first round pick always blows.

I took Bieber with my first pick in my money keeper league (pick 3, round 6 - 5 keepers / 12 teams), was feeling good for a week!
