Anyone remember the game that Joaquin Andujar called his shot before hitting a grand slam?

Friday will mark 31 years since Ozzie Smith joined the 2,000-hit club. After the game, he spoke about how much the milestone meant to him due to the work he put into making himself a good hitter:

Paul DeJong wasn't even at Coors Field yet when his first MLB game began. When he finally arrived, he homered in his first career at-bat.

Sadly, the game has changed so much I doubt we'll ever see anything like that again for a long time. Today, both pitchers would have been pulled after the 5th or 6th inning.

Andujar really put up some good seasons when he came over. He is one of the more underrated pitchers in team history in my opinion. There's no 1982 World Series banner without him.
And on the flip side…1985.

That hot blooded Dominican (RIP) also lost his shiite completely in Game 7 in KC.
