Good question.

no they're not hurt....if you remember the last 2 seasons, Gray and a few other pitchers, Libby included, would get back field scrimmage/simulated game starts the first few weeks. Then they integrate into the actual rotation.

I think you forgot Gray's hamstring injury last spring.

maybe...sorry....but he did start 2 springs in a row on the back fields. He preferred it that way

Fitts just completed two scoreless innings against the Nicaragua WBC team, giving up four hits and striking out three.

fitts went to the world baseball classic i believe and isnt with the team

He is pitching today for the Cards against the Nicaragua WBC team. He has competed three innings, striking out four, giving up four hits and no runs.

He's fine and going to be in the SR unless he sustains an injury this spring.

He tore his ACL in July. As far as I know, his arm is fine but rehab for the knee is still progressing

Then why do we have him pitching to Yerzy instead of at the first of a game where he can get in sync with Hererra or another likely ML catcher? He's the new one here and ST is his first chance for the regular Catchers to get used to him and vice versa.
