We see why they like Oli. Liberatore said he realized this is the first time in a long while the Cardinals haven't had a hall of fame player on the roster (Molina Waino Arenado etc). And having all the vets gone Contreras and Gray in particular from the rotation he said it's exciting because that means it's their time to step in. McGreevy also spoke the same way he said he calls the 1st round picks every year to speak to them in the minors and tell them the big club will need them. Sounds like Liberatore and McGreevy are both positioned as leader type players for the staff and team.

Watching the McGreevy interview. I see a future clubhouse leader if he can continue his onfield development.
