Wonder how Rodriguez would be in the same scenario?RamFan08NY wrote: ↑23 Feb 2026 10:08 am
Sounds about right, but ask that question again in 3 months regarding JJW. Minor league hitting doesn't always translate to MLB hitting.
rodriguez is extemely young. It can only benefit him to spend a significant amount of additional time in the minor league levelsShady wrote: ↑23 Feb 2026 10:10 amWonder how Rodriguez would be in the same scenario?RamFan08NY wrote: ↑23 Feb 2026 10:08 am

Hererra will have to prove durability to be a "top" anything. Burly has probably hit his ceiling and is a complimentary player, not an aircraft carrier.
"Burly has probably hit his ceiling and is a complimentary player", That's doubtful at 27.Carp4Cy wrote: ↑23 Feb 2026 11:07 amHererra will have to prove durability to be a "top" anything. Burly has probably hit his ceiling and is a complimentary player, not an aircraft carrier.
Some would want Baez on the list too. I hope he deserves that ranking. We need to really hit on some of these prospects in a big way.
I would agree on Burly, He is what he is which is a nice side piece. I don't see how he becomes more than that. A valuable piece, but not a center piece for a playoff team. Like you, I hope Baez continues to ascendCarp4Cy wrote: ↑23 Feb 2026 11:07 amHererra will have to prove durability to be a "top" anything. Another Burleson doubter. Burly's production will determine his evaluation. Not conjecture.Adam2 wrote: ↑23 Feb 2026 11:11 amI would agree on Burly, He is what he is which is a nice side piece. Don't judge in 3 months on JJW. many examples in baseball with rookies starting slowly and then surging later. One of the latest was in our own divison a couple years ago . Similarly top rated prospect Jackson Chourio started his rookie campaign (2024) and was hitting .207 entering the month of June struggling from the get go . He proceeded to hit .304 for the remainder of the year ending the season with a .275 BARamFan08NY wrote: ↑23 Feb 2026 10:08 am

Fully agree, but would add that it is also highly beneficial for him to spend as much time as possible right now with major league players and seeing some major league pitchers.Adam2 wrote: ↑23 Feb 2026 10:27 amrodriguez is extemely young.
