I’d probably go with Walker, as it would show he’s hitting with some power

My excitement would be in the order posted.
Dustin May is sort of a placeholder while the young pitching develops. I hope he's awesome, but having Wetherholt/Walker/Mathews pan out are way more important for the rebuild.
I'll add Joshua Baez having a strong spring would get me excited. He seems like a high potential prospect, even if it's not for another year.

Walker hands down. Pitching results mean nothing in Spring and hitting for average doesn’t mean much more. If Walker is hitting for power in Florida in Spring that might actually indicate something has changed.

E. If herrera showed he can be an average catcher. It wont happen but that would be huge if it happened. Spring training numbers don’t really excite me people declared Scott ready to skip AAA to the majors based on spring training numbers and he sucked. But if Herrera showed he could handle catching defensively that would be great

I don’t know, I think context is key. When Walker had that great spring his first year a lot of his damage was done at the beginning of the spring, then he tailed off as pitching matchups got tougher. So a lot of it would depend on who they are putting those numbers up against. And even then, it’s still spring, so who knows?

But assuming they’re doing it against good competition, I’d say either A or B. You want to see young guys who are competing for a spot on the team have a great spring more than vets who aren’t going anywhere and know what they have to do to get ready for the season. Like Jim Edmonds. He looked like he could care less during the spring, but come time when the season started, he was ready to go.
