Pitchers and catchers report tomorrow and all you want to talk about is their final 2026 record? Come on Tim, have some fun! Smell the popcorn! Its baseball season, after a long cold winter. Tomorrow is the beginning of the days of summer, one of the finest recurring events of my life.
Cards will win at least 78 if a few things go right they will win more than 80. And i dont see why you dont see a pitcher winning more than 10. Mcgreevy won 8 in just 16 starts. Liebratore I think definitely wins more than 10 since he won’t have the fatigue issues may if he is healthy will definitely win 10
They were #19 in R/G in 2025. They might need to climb thatOzziesfan41 wrote: ↑11 Feb 2026 12:58 pmCards will win at least 78 if a few things go right they will win more than 80. I'd agree with thatrockondlouie wrote: ↑11 Feb 2026 14:01 pm If they stay healthy and don't lose key players to LT injury or trade, then.....
80 - 84 wins

Their record last season was based on strength of bullpen the rotation was trash like 23rd in the majors and their offense isn’t good. Their bullpen was still good even after trading matz and helsely and maton so it should be about as good as it was after the deadline. The rotation will be better and they have depth so they won’t have to stay with trash like mikolas fedde and pallante just about the whole season if they suck. So with an improved rotation and a bullpen about what it was after the deadline they will be better even if the offense is light againrenostl wrote: ↑11 Feb 2026 14:17 pmThey were #19 in R/G in 2025. ladder a bit in order to get those accomplishments.
The good news is that it would be difficult to point to any
player overachieving in 2025.
Health might impact in either direction if one of the underachieving
players go down and replaced by more production.
We hope for better. It is ST time. I'm still optimistic.Ozziesfan41 wrote: ↑11 Feb 2026 14:41 pmTheir record last season was based on strength of bullpen the rotation was trash like 23rd in the majors and their offense isn’t good. yup - that stretch got us to 9 games OVER .500 - there will be no such thing happening in 2026 that is why we will struggle to win 70renostl wrote: ↑11 Feb 2026 16:30 pmTrue. Even Fedde had 12 of his first 15 games go
with giving up 3 runs or less. 9 games 2 runs or less. 4 with 0 runs. Miles was his polar self.
22 games 3 runs or less. Then 6 games with 5 runs or more.
