Not necessarily. Bloom did a press conference after the trade and he said that looking from the outside, he would probably continue what they were doing in Seattle, but did say that he wouldn’t make any final decisions until after they’ve had a chance to get to know him, watch him throw, etc. Either way, though, I think he’ll still continue to work from the left side in non-game situations just so he doesn’t lose that ability. You never know, so it’s a good thing to have that in your back pocket if you never really develop the way, everyone hopes you will.
I think I agree with a lot of what you say...and don't we have one of their former player devlpt. guys working for us now? But still, as just a normal dude who pitched a bit of Legion ball, I feel like the back and forth would be a mental and physical gymnastic on the body and mind. In this Good article, Cijntje is profiling as a right-handed starter and a left-handed reliever. Been confusion on that . From the right side , he has 4 pitches he throws with his fastball several MPH higher. He has two pitches from the lefty side .
