The Spring Training Roster Competition
Posted: 10 Feb 2026 16:02 pm
This roster is mostly set, but there are a few spots being contended for. Things can change quickly, but here's how I see it going in to spring training:
1) C/DH Herrera
2) C Pages
3)
4) 1B/OF Burleson
5) 2B Wetherholt
6) SS Winn
7) 3B Gorman
IF Saggese
9)
10) LF Nootbaar
11) CF Scott
12) RF Walker
13) OF Church
Two spots being contended for on the position players side. #3 Will either be Crooks as a third catcher, or a utility man. #9 will be a utility man. The people in the running for the spots besides Crooks are Fermin, Torres, Ramos, and Velazquez.
Pitchers
1) May
2) Liberatore
3) McGreevy
4) Dobbins
5)
The last spot is a competition between Pallante, Fitts, Leahy, and Mathews
6) Svanson R
7) O'Brien R
Stanek R
9) Romero L
10) Graceffo R
11) Leahy R
12) Pallante
13)
The last bullpen spot is a competition between Soriano R, Naughton L , Z Thompson L, and Gastelum R with preference given to a left-hander. If Fitts doesn't make the rotation, he goes to Memphis.
