Brewers seem to make a deal like this every year but have made the playoffs in 7 of the last 8 years. This might be the first season in a while that they will have a higher total payroll than the Cards.

UPDATE : just read on MLB that it was a 6 player swap 3 fo 3 Brewers also included IF Monsterio and INF Siegler plus a comp. round B draft pick

They traded Tibbs to get Dustin May last deadline. Just traded our buddy Jordan Hicks last year, and now Harrison. That means they just have Jose Bello left (and now Durbin).

Pretty brutal 12 months. Poisoned the team to bring in Bregman then he left after a year anyway lol

Boston traded two left handers that were possibly slated for the bullpen. They are in need of a left handed reliever now. Wonder if they will pivot back to Cards for Romero?

Durbin is fools'gold. Milwaukee saw that and took advantage of a desperate-to-make-a-move Boston team. This winds up being a steal for the Crew.

This is the type of trade I wanted Bloom to make…… guys that are MLB ready …. Not the fringe prospects that we received
