I don't know why the Pirates even bother. Maybe to flip him at the deadline?

I'm sure the owners would never collude, but lo and behold each franchise is playing the part needed of them going into the most transformational CBA the sport has ever had. The Dodgers, Cardinals, Pirates, A's, etc all doing what is needed of them. Probably a coincidence?

That is probably the most cringe outfield play I've ever seen. I laugh every time I see it.

Designated hitter Marcell Ozuna and the Pittsburgh Pirates are in agreement on a one-year, $12 million contract with a mutual option for 2027, sources tell ESPN. The deal will pay Ozuna $10.5M this year with a $16M option that has a $1.5M buyout.

They drive the rage against the current system.

And they have to start showing Skenes that they are behind him. Having 10 wins with a min 2 ERA isn't going to keep too many pitchers happy.
I think Pitt is ready to challenge for the central.

That and J. Canseco "heading" the ball over the fence for a HR.

They are.
All they need are a few bats and Ozuna will help.

It helps the Pirates and probably pushes the Cards into last place. With their pitching a little more offense will make them a lot tougher.
