Thought Arizona would want him back. Yankees will use him only against left handers and late inning defense

I thought he was going to d backs until they signed Santana then I thought no chance he goes back now. I’m just glad cards didn’t sign him

Good for Goldy. While I won't watch the Yan-keeees, I will always root for Goldy.

TB, I was thinking less at first, then I thought well it is the Yankees. They have been known to spend a little extra now and then. Being Goldy's second year, I think he will take a cut but not a major one. We will see soon hopefully.

Me too ! WAY UNDER I would guess. Like maybe $5M or so .. basing that on the fact that Pirates paid McCutcheon $5 M the past couple years .
If he got even HALF of last year's $12.5 .. that would be $6.25 M I think that is pretty hefty.

Would you for a bench player and backup at first.
He’s not a good fit.

If he were an OFer, yes.

But the infield already has a lot of pieces.

He’s best going to a team a little light in 1b and platoon dh

Good enough for the Yankees, but not the Cardinals.

Yep, not a good fit for the rebuilding Cards, who already have a pretty packed infield that needs at-bats.

Good fit for the Yanks, though.

$4,000,000. I was way off. I was surprised it wasn't for a little more, but that seems like a pretty good bargain for the Yanks. Glad we stayed out of this one. I wish him a great season as he is a pure class guy.

Now you are double talking to fit your invalid thoughts. Were you also against when they brought Pujols back?

No, I think you just lack comprehension.

Me saying “Goldy doesn’t fit here” doesn’t mean “Goldy bad!”
