LHH FA Outfielders that hit LH Pitching

If the Cardinals are going to give Saggese and Fermin some run in the OF, is it necessary to only target OF depth that bats RH? Couple things to consider: RHH Jordan Walker will be a fixture in the everyday lineup. Baez has the potential to be in St Louis by the end of ’26 and certainly expects to be a member of the team in ’27. RHH Honeyman isn’t that far off; if he proves to be healthy this season he could be knocking on the door in ’27 as well. Also, Nelson Velazquez was added to the team as RHH OF depth.

Of the remaining free agent outfielders, Mike Tauchman might actually make the most sense for the Cardinals.

158 career starts in LF, 145 career starts in CF and 122 career starts in RF. He’s been able to hit LHH pitching over the course of his career and offers a proven backup CF if Scott is unable to stick in the lineup consistently.

I’ll throw Michael Conforto in there as well because he’s proven to hit LH Pitching at a decent clip and can also play all 3 OF spots.
