Andujar just signed with the Padres. Skip out on signing Randall Grichuk. He is not a good hitter. Please add a bat but make it a real one.

I’m glad Bloom didn’t sign Andujar after trading away Donovan, but my goodness, he signed for 4 mil. That should really tell everyone on here something, if they weren’t even willing to spend that amount!

IMO,
Regardless of Anduja. I'd skip signing any FA bat that would sign here this offseason.
Fermin is as good.

If a bat is desired, move the needle and trade for it.

I’d be ok with only adding pitching and no bats. We’ve got to sort out our AAAA hitters from the next Brendan Donovan. Give the ABs to who we’ve already got.

Or maybe they did, but the player decided that he preferred the situation to the Cardinals.

Cards offer him 5 mil, he signs in a heart beat, but nice try!

As long as we sign some pieces by 2027 I’m good with that.

Why sign him for $5 million. You don’t think we have any one that can hit 10 home runs in left field?

Is Grichuk on our radar? Is that actually a thing?

None of the RH hitting FA OF really do not move the needle. Fermin should be given the first shot as the RH bat in the OF. Cards can always make a move later. Maybe Josh Baez will surprise or Herrera shifts to the OF.

Or, his agent goes back to the Pads and says you need to up it to 5, or he signs with Stl.
Let's face it. None of us know how the discussions go. We only pretend that we do.
