I know this is just a minor league deal, but why? Another LH batting OF/1B whom the Cards already have plenty of in their system. Looks like something Mo would do - like the immortal Taylor Motter signing............

He'll turn 30 later this month and has managed a .204/.273/.286 batting line in parts of three major-league seasons. Madris should be ticketed for Triple-A Memphis to begin the upcoming season.
More like blech. Or blah. Or just bad. Anyway spring training signing who cares. Just a guy.

I thought the point of trading Donny was that he would be 30 before our next competitive window?!? And now we go get a 29 yo with no talent or shelf life to begin with???
