The magic number is 70.5

As pessimistic as I am about this roster...I might take the over. I was thinking 73ish.

I would take over. Things are bad but I don’t think that bad

Only 4 teams failed to exceed 70 wins in 2025. I don't expect even in this rebuild STL will fall that far. It is still to early to project since we don't know what the roster will be entering spring (i.e. Donovan and Romero, Noot, additional RH OFer, etc). I'm way early guessing more like 74 wins.

Yeah, it's awfully difficult to predict anything before knowing the final roster.

Over. This team, as of now, doesn't look much worse than last years team.

If the Cards end up bottom three, what's the most likely draft slot in 2027? Good chance at top three pick?

That would be something. A huge win if it happens.

DraftKings is 71.5
Caesars is 72.5
BetRivers (NJ casino) is 71.5

*The Pirates are 75.5/76.5/75.5
So we are firmly predicted for last place.

Going to be a LONG season boys & girls.

*Sorry NYCardsFan, didn't see your post.

I agree with whoever said this team doesn't look much worse than last year's team

If the Pirates, with all of their young talent that the whole world seems to be so in love with, are only predicted to be 3-4 games better than the Cardinals, the re-build must be going much better (and faster) than many in here think.

Well done to the new front office!

And they've actually signed a good amount of free-agents by their standards this offseason
