If you could assign ONE New Year's Resolution apiece for DeWitt, Bloom, and The Marmot in 2026, what would each be?

Dewitt develop a succession plan and focus on going out a winner.

Bloom be quick with your player evaluations.

Oli??? Make a lineup and stick with hit. Stop the line up shuffle.

Very solid resolutions.

Dewitt to find a buyer for the team. I have no faith in his offspring to ever put the necessary resources into the team that is needed to be a consistent winner in today's MLB.

Bloom to keep doing what he is doing with the churn of the aging roster and to never lose focus on the MILB as his predecessor did.

For Oliver to be reassigned as soon as Bloom gets the Cards ready to compete. He is not "a leader of men"!

Can't disagree with any.

It appears to me that III is now running the place and Jr is semi-retired. III has a business degree and Jr never put the Cardinals through a dump and rebuild. Jr wanted to trade prospects for veterans to win now.

You are seeing the succession plan play out.

I’m not impressed with III especially for his public comments. I realize that may be the succession plan but my hope is III does really not have that much interest leading to a better plan.

For BDW jr - Hand the decision making for all baseball issues to Bloom. Let BDW 3 focus on Ballpark Village and promotions.

For BDW 3 - Stay out of Bloom’s way.

For Oli - Be a manager. Stop being a buddy. Stop the scheduled off days with hot players.

Dewitt:

"I will spend more on major league talent starting in 2027"

Bloom:

"I will never run the Cardinals like my predecessor did and continue to always be honest with you fans"

Oli:

"I promise not to sign an extension to Manage the Cardinals after this season"

We are now getting revenue sharing. That's an indication of how he is doing.

Ticket sales matter. Building a roster that people will suppport matters. Otherwise you end up the beneficiary of a socialist program like revenue sharing.

I like it.
Particularly #3 - though either DeWitt or Bloom could make such a pledge unnecessary.
