I wonder how many of these the DeWitt family own and how it affects the way they do business?

I'm sure that someone who claims to be DeTwits BFF will chime in...always good to have inside information!

I’ve said this several times before.
If BDW is no longer in a position to own a competitive MLB team then he needs to sell to deeper pockets who can compete in this environment
Ownership of this franchise has changed hands multiple times in its history. It is the norm. But for some reason some fans have been brainwashed that no one would want or could afford this historic Franchise. Clueless thought.

Google says that Dewitt restaurant management owns over 100 Arby’s restaurants. Their corporate office is in Omaha, Nebraska. While they do own, some locations in Missouri, most are spread out across the upper Midwest.

I saw that list for each team too, earp, but I think you put it in the wrong thread.

The team may, or may not, be sold any time soon.
But most MLB owners - of any team - will operate to make some amount of annual profit. That boundary condition will probably determine what any ownership group will be willing to spend on an annual basis rather than their "want to" compete.

It’s a business. It seems obvious.

And Arbys is not his only asset, to say the least. DeWitt is the founder of the investment firm Reynolds DeWitt & Co., holding assets including U.S. Playing Card Co., Arbys, and more. He also made a fortune when he sold his share of the Reds.

Yeah - if people are holding out for the Cardinals finding their "Steve Cohen," they are going to be waiting a long time.
