Me at first glance: Of course not.
Me after seeing MS's stats: Probably not, but impressive.
As a 2B the last two years, accumulated around .680 OPS, but 7.4 WAR in 286 games!
That's really good.
His stats now:
49.2 WAR
253 career HR
1613 hits
3 years remaining on his contract.
35 years old.
If by the end of his contract he can be:
60
300
2000,
He still may not get in, but he will get some votes...

He’ll get some votes for sure. But not enough. Those top 3 MVP seasons were fantastic but he didn’t have enough of them (or enough seasons 75% as good).
2B is a tough position to make the HOF. Just ask Jeff Kent.

Im just enamored by that 3.3 WAR he put up in only 127 games last year.

HOF is being watered down. I think if it could be argued that a player shouldn’t be in the Hall of Fame then they are not a Hall of Famer.

Did he win 3 GG? I only see 2
He’s had a very nice career, but that’s a low bar standard for the Hall of Fame.
He’s already 35. I do not see him compiling anything noteworthy

Yeah - I wouldn't put him in now, but HOFers pretty much always play until 40 or longer, so there's still time to chase the counting stats and boost WAR into the mid 60s or beyond. Seems like he's tracking close to where some existing HOFers would have been at this stage of their careers.

No. He just got traded. Th e team that had him didn't even want him. Must not be very good. Doesn't sound like Hall of Fame to me.
