Ryan Waldschmidt

In looking through several players for a good future right handed bat there really are not many to choose from. Most outfielders and first baseman are left-handed. Cards currently have Donovan, Wetherholt, Burleson, and Gorman four left handers for 1st, 2nd, 3rd to go with Winn. Donovan could still be traded but still several lefties on infield. Cards could use a solid right handed outfield bat.
Ryan Waldschmidt is Arizonas top prospect. He is a good hitting prospect that will likely find a home in left field. He is not the best defender per his scouting report because he is still learning and was catcher in high school. He does hit for avg, obp, and OPS with decent Ks. He also runs decent. Not sure what it would take to get him but Donovan has BTV of 32.5 and Waldschmidt is 20.1 BTV it might take a three way deal to make pieces align if you used Donovan but Waldschmidt would be a decent right handed cost controlled bat to get. He might debut by end of this season.
Last year he moved up to AA mid season with the following stats. 2025 AA 249ABs .309AVG .423OBP .921OPS 9HRs.
He is 23 years old.
