Are we still excited about Bloom?

I'm just not impressed so far. I guess we will see how these pitchers turn out. He seems to think we can develop pitchers.

As of now it looks like we will have 40 pitchers and 0 hitters on the team. Thats a bold strategy, Cotten

It's just getting harder and harder to root for this franchise. I need to start taking up Summer hobbies

I’m with you and so far not impressed at all. If he blows a deal for Donovan he should be fired immediately.

I am. Not every deal will be my favorite, but overall this will go well.

Not really sure what some were expecting for a declining 6 inning pitcher and an overpriced catcher that doesn’t catch.

I like Chaim...and I like what he's doing. Maybe he's canvassed the farm and sees that we're better on offense then we are on pitching. He's also acquiring assets. I'll let this all play out before passing judgment. So far, so fine

I am anyone that thinks they were going to get top prospects for gray or Contreras are delusional. He’s got a good strategy stockpiling a lot of major league ready arms to compete for rotation spots and to give them options to bring up replacements if a starter isn’t pitching well some can also go into the bullpen he’s also stockpiling raw low level starters that can have high upside. The more starters you have the more likely it is some of them are going to be good. It’s a good strategy

Stockpiling a bunch of pitchers. The Minor League system was woefully short.

Hitters are a dime a dozen to find.

I’ve got four loose nickels. Find me two dozen.

Ok but where do you see any offense coming from on this roster? IH, Burleson I guess but nothing after that.

Neutral so far - has moved salary to Boston with lottery pick returns- got May as another lottery ticket for the rotation.

Would agree, what he is able to get for BDonny will be more of an indication of his ability to negotiate a deal as the leverage is still in his favor and he seems to be letting the Marte market play out.

What's that even mean? What Hornet stated is true. All summer long posters on here were complaining about Grays inability to go deep in games, and how WC was over paid.
I love the idea of loading up on pitching prospects. Bound to hit on 1 or 2 of them.

The offseason isn’t over yet if at spring training he still hasn’t made any moves for any offense then I’ll think something’s wrong people freaking out about it now are weird. With him stockpiling arms he can always trade some of them for offense. I think he trades for either a 1st base or outfield prospect who is ready

+1 it was gray isn’t an ace can’t pitch in the heat Contreras is a bad apple causing problems and he’s not that good and can’t stay healthy now it’s how could they trade them and not bring back star players and prospects!

I watch plenty. Likely more than you apparently. Also don’t have an overinflated opinion on what our guys are worth to other teams.
