If so. Would the Blues Jays swap him for Romero, even up? https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/mlb/bl ... 862d&ei=12

Shady, you just fixed the Cardinal outfield, well done. If only Bloom read this board.

I defer to your knowledge of the organization, but Toronto traded an all star starter to get him..

One would think they would require similar quality…

Reportedly, the Blue Jays have interest in getting Donovan. Maybe Loperfido could be involved in a very good package offer including a talented pitching prospect or two. I read that talented lefty, Ricky Tiedemann, might be pretty close to being MLB ready.

For his career he has 17 BBs, 122 Ks in 366 PAs. Sounds even worse than Gorman.

It would be interesting to know what Bloom thinks of Loperfido. He's only 26. I've read some good things about his potential.

Loperfido could be a LF stopgap if Burleson is traded. Last year he had a 0.6 bWAR in 104 PAs. Burleson had triple his WAR but five times as many PAs. I like it, bring on Loperfido!

7th Rd draft pick
366 MLB PA's
8 HR's
122 KO's (33% of his PA's)
.248 .297 .392 .689

He's no upgrade, why would you want him? :?

From what I've read he has some talent and versatility.. If Nootbarr is traded, I'd take a flyer on him for Romero. But someone posted that Romero, alone, wouldn't get him. Some info on Loperfido. "Loperfido was solid in his limited MLB experience last season. He hit .333/.379/.500 with an .879 OPS and a 148 wRC+ over 104 plate appearances. Loperfido has logged innings in all three outfield positions, as well as first and second base. His issue is that he is buried behind an outfield and an infield that is deep. He still has two pre-arbitration seasons remaining, making him a perfect asset for the Cardinals to acquire".

everyone has talent...that's not a selling point.

I tip my cap to him almost making it to 1 WAR last year. Barely a breakout year for him at 26. Next season he's 27. So...I don't think the Cards want another struggling LHB bat in the OF/IF...the lineup needs better RHB...not another weak to mediocre LHB.

he's not as exposed in an elite lineup like the Jays....he would K much more with a putrid lineup like the Cards.

More of a Nootbaar replacement IMO with much more control if he
ever breaks through. He can play CF it would be impactful then.
It's on his resume IDK how well he does it.
So the same can be said about either player.

Not a bad thought. Where did you see him?

Pass

His "talent" would have him on his THIRD (3rd) team in three seasons if he were dealt.

He had a hot first month of July (only 58 PA's) that inflates those numbers, once the league got a look at him he flopped:

From 8/1 - 2025 seasons end:
1 HR
.256 .289 .395 .684

No chance I waste dealing JoJo for him.

JoJo is best paired w/Donny for a way, way better player.
