When that is in place and they are on an upward trajectory they can strategically acquire higher price FAs. If they continued down the old path their ceiling was basically the 83 win team from '24. I don’t think they’re trying to be like the Pirates. If you take a step back and look at our teams in ’23, ’24 and ’25; you can see just how poorly those rosters were constructed. The guy in charge of building those rosters isn’t here anymore.
