Although, a Donovan trade return is enticing

Maybe Bloom, first, wants to see what he can get for Contreras, Nootbaar, Romero, Arenado, some catcher depth and even Gorman. An infield of Donovan, Winn, Wetherholt and Burleson might just compete for a Division title in '26, already, if the others mentioned can bring back enough to fill some needs.

Yes, after the Cardinals traded their ace and then trade their best reliever and most consistent hitter they will most definitely be in contention next year. From your lips to Bloom's ears.

Prospects > the 2026 infield.

If they really wanted to contend they would trade Burleson. A Utility Silver Slugger generational talent should net a haul. I'm thinking an ace, a promising CF, and a RH bench OF.

“Chill.” “Don’t take things so seriously.” “Just having some fun on a little innocent message board.” “This ain’t nuclear war or cancer.” “Relax.”

I agree
Keep Donovan. Trade Arenado, Gorman and Pages

C) Herrera / Crooks
1B) Contreras / Burleson
2B) Wetherholt /Saggese / Donovan
SS) Winn / Saggese
3B) Donovan / Saggese
LF) Nootbaar
CF) Scott II
RF) Walker

That lineup will be above average and good defensively.

Just stack up the punching and the rebuild is over.

That's why you're an "Ad foe"--someone who opposes ads.
