I loved Mike Shannon but don’t think he is the same league as the Buck boys.

Did Shannon ever do anything on a national level ?

Right. Mike Shannon is a beloved St. Louis treasure. Never was a broadcaster on a national level, and never the lead announcer.

Agreed. Mike was perhaps the best color man ever but often couldn’t keep up with plays. He was colorful but not a great play by play announcer. His HR calls were excellent however

One guy I think will make it in a few years is Brian Anderson.
Had worked his way up from team play by play if Brewers toTBS

Voice easy to listen to. Does his homework too.
