He's going to be a fine addition the the Cardinals starting rotation. It will be interesting to see who wins the most games going forward in the MLB. Fitts or Gray. Fitts was a nice get for Bloom.

I don’t think we should be too optimistic. He might be a help but still a lot to prove. Durability and control. Hope for best. Just remember Gray trade was primarily a salary dump.

It may have been a salary dump, but picking up a major league starter and a very high ceiling pitching prospect
was excellent.

I agree. I've seen some video of Fitts pitching to some MLB hitters. It's exhilarating.

He has good velocity and a decent repertoire. A good get if he can stay healthy. Seemingly a big "iff"

On a Shady scale of 1 to 10—with 10 being “fabulous” and 1 being “dubious”—how would you rate Fitts?
Is “exhilarating” somewhere around a 12?

What if he’s only 98.6% healthy?

I’m not sure how to respond to that. But if 75 innings does it for you, that’s great.

You do understand there was a fairly serious injury issue for a pitcher, right?

Got it. The injury concerns may be why the Cardinals were able to acquire Fitts. Guess we'll find out in time.
