MLB today

They interviewed Chris Getz of the White sox. They were talking about Colson Montgomery, and what they did with him when he was struggling. Instead of demoting him, they called a “ time out “ sent him to Arizona instructional League, and just worked with him over a week to ten days. Then they sent him back to AAA, where he had been playing, and he just took off. He was eventually called up the Big Leagues and had a pretty good rookie season. Totally different approach than what the Cardinals have done with their young players! Getz explained that they wanted to get Montgomery away from the stress of the games while they were working with him, and not damage his confidence by simply demoting him.

Damage him...lol. if a professional ball player, or one who wants to be a professional ball player, gets damage from being demoted to help them improve...they will never be a professional ball player
And should people be getting guidance from the [shirt]ty White Sox organization?

Well, they got a lot better results with Montgomery than the Cardinals have gotten with Walker and Gorman.

Given Montgomery's comeback, they should absolutely be trying to get guidance from the White Sox.
And yeah, Walker and Gorman are not exactly Kirk Gibson between the ears or in the guts. That much should be clear. But maybe there is something that can be done. If there is, the Cardinals should figure out what that something is before giving up and letting another team try to find it.

I watched both Walker and Gorman sulk for months when they were demoted to AAA. It was so obvious they didn't want to be there. But the problem is, the Cards call them back up when they did nothing to earn it. Nothing.
What they should've been doing wa working their tails off to bet back. If I was one of their teammates who was playing well and saw those 2 pout, sulk, not perform, then get promoted over me, I would've been very disappointed.
Not sure these 2 have what it takes to be the stars we once hoped.

Since I'm relating this OP to J. Walker, he belongs in AAA to start the season and stays there until he shows he's changed.

Half year of ABs on a lost team.
And JW and KKorn have this year to prove it or adios

I'd stick him in AA...his "damage" might be viral

Not until we get rid of Oli after 2026, he's the last remnant of Mo and stupid.
