I don’t understand how they can elect this guy, but not the Juicers.
Dude’s career slugging exploded when he went to the Giants… after the age of 30. From 30-37 he slugged on average .537 and paced towards 31 Homers.
Prior to joining the Balco Bombers? .450 Slugging%
Absurd.

He said on MLB it was because he started choking up on the bat a little bit! Helped him make better contact. Hmmm?

Absurd.
Take a closer look at his numbers and you’ll see a good portion of his SLG boost can be attributed to doubles. He started going oppo w/ the Giants, which he credits to Dusty Baker.
He showed 20 HR pop in his earlier years with the Mets. Sometimes guys get better without cheating.

Hall just keeps get watered down more and more w/each passing year w/more steroid freaks entering.

thing is Jeff Bagwell was summarily dismissed just because of rumors with no proof behind them whatsoever and Kent who has definite "vibes" about needle inserts gets in.
The BBWAA is nothing if not inconsistent.

It keeps getting watered down because the backwards thinking keeping the greatest hitter of the last 60 years out of the Hall. But denying Bonds Hall entry in no way diminishes his greatness.
