The average age of the last 20 sCY Young winners is 31 years old

Several were 35 or 36 or older.

Aside from somehow landing a Paul Skenes you probably aren’t going to be able to field the most elite pitching staff before those pictures start earning market value. And even skenes will probably continue to get better as he approach s 30 and gets a lot more expensive.

Ah, well, [shirt]!!! You're telling me these young pictures that we're trying to acquire won't be Cy Young winners right away??? Now I've re-thought everything.

A lot of the best don't even peak until they are with their 2nd or 3rd team.

How many today would have held onto a Warren Spahn for his entire 21 year career until he was 43 years old?

Only 1, in the past 8 years, was above 30 years old as Cy Young in the NL

Ummm, free agency has allowed players to dictate their career pathways. You eventually are going to disclose a relevant point, aren't you?
