Five year contract. They had expressed interest in Burlerson if he went elsewhere.

Naylor and Seattle pretty much had that deal signed before the season ended.

Now they need a 3B to throw across the diamond to him, but wherever could they find one?

He was their top priority but still no guarantee he would come back.

Could be second base if Polanco doesn’t come back. They are in a win now mode and love Donovan’s versatility and contact skills.

Arenado is the play. Trade Donovan somewhere else.
They have a good farm system, but it would be hard to match up with them.
#1 They are stingy. The really good prospects in their system, they won't give up. Colt Emerson, Kade Anderson, Ryan Sloan.
#2 Some of their top prospects don't align with us positionally. Two of the top 10 are catchers. Another two are middle infielders.
#3 The best prospect they might actually deal is OF Lazaro Montes, is either going to be a power hitting beast of a super star, or Nolan Gorman.
Arenado is the play.

Seattle wants Suarez.
And he wants Seattle.
