You have heard of a couple of pitchers intentionally throwing pitches for 'balls' where there are bets on that ...

Now the rumor is a scheme for batters is now under investigation the FBI calls 'SAM ' (acronym for Swing And Miss )
Batters who come up with RISP and who intentionally strike out are being rewarded with big $$$ to keep the score down .
Payments vary with the situation runner on 2nd , runners on 2nd & 3rd , and bases loaded .
Trying to think which starting Cardinal players would be watched most closely for possibly intentionally striking out .. We may have quite a few suspects that Feds are looking at ...

Okay...phew...."SAM" is swing and miss. I read the title and was confused. I blame my recent Tom Clancy binge reading this year. Surface-to-air Missile on the brain

Find them all and prosecute them to the full extent of the law and issue a lifetime ban for all sports. This stuff has gone on for too long. Now there's a Digital Paper Trail...easier to catch.

Saw on ABC national news tonight now in NBA , they have hired private investigating lawyers and they want all cell phones of LA Lakers players .
This sure isn't sounding good .

For those who think gambling in bed with sports wouldn’t produce cheating at the highest levels, welcome. A new day dawns.

What sucks is, for those of us who don’t gamble, who want pure atheletism to rule, the games are now tainted.

Any dropped pass, any swing and miss, any bad throw, will always be under suspect.

Humans.

I have no idea where this all begins and ends but I suspect we have only seen the tip of the iceberg.

Roids determine the outcome of multiple world series winners and the owners were perfectly happy because it brought fans back to the ballparks after the strike/lockout. MLB picks and chooses what type of cheating they object to.

MLB needs to ban all prop bets, they have no place in MLB.
