Ryan says he expects the Cards to reach out to him and he wants to return to STL
When Bloom reaches out hopefully goes something like this
“We watched you lose several games for the Mets down the stretch while winning going into 9th…..sealing the Mets fate….Good Luck….we look forward to facing you in the 9th this coming season with that straight (bleep) fastball”

"If you cannot dazzle them with brilliance baffle with bull". His view of FO, manager, and pitching coach must be that they accept failure so they would want him back.
He should message Flaherty and ask him how his career is going. May want an ego check.

If he truly wants to be here and takes a team friendly deal, I'd take him back.
This bullpen could be lights out, which is a huge key in competing.

Lol
He is a free agent, needs to open as many doors as possible, to maximize his potential return.
Sooner see them pass. His Met's Meltdown was an awful performance. He performs anywhere near even mediocre and they are in the playoffs.
I Question his make up after that. Can he perform under pressure. Real pressure. Making a run at playoff success and not simply a run at a .500 record. Show Me, but in another uniform first please.
My money. Hard pass. He really [shirt] the bed big-time with the Mutts.

I was questioning his makeup here……and taking the heat….hopefully everyone can see he’s a choker

How did Josh Hader do when traded from the Brewers to the Padres in 2022? Would you label him as a choker as well?

He has a rough go with the Mets, but has been one of the best, if not the best, bullpen guys for over the past several years. Sign him back. If we stink, flip him at the deadline again.

Some really struggle with recognizing reality if they have an emotional investment in things. E.g. Parents with Rotten Kids, and Parents with Rotten Adults still living at home in many cases.
These are their kids for some of them. Unhealthy emotional investment, yes. Better than Collecting Cats, I suppose. Well maybe.
Ignore them!!!

He will be surprisingly too expensive for Cardinals. If not they should consider him.

Hard pass of course he’s interested in coming back he wants as many teams as possible interested in him. The cardinals don’t need to spend money on a position where they have multiple better options than him. Spend that on a position where they actually need an upgrade not a downgrade

A stud who struggled in 2025” is a good get for the team in a 1 year contract to flip.
The irony is he tanked on the flip.
Pass. Good luck, RH!
